Group Classes at Whitespace gallery, Edinburgh
I have over 15 years experience of teaching art to students of all ages and levels. I firmly believe that, given the space, the time, and some suggestions regarding ideas, technique and materials, you are capable of creating great, meaningful artwork.
Like many things in life, sometimes the hardest thing is to start. Once you get into a regular habit of drawing/painting, things naturally happen which surprise and inspire.
At the moment I am offering classes on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm at the lovely Whitespace gallery in Newington. The class size is small (Max 6 students) and it’s a fun and friendly atmosphere. Each month we work on something a bit different, but we always start with the basics of drawing. Over the four weeks we expore different approaches to the subject and experiment with different materials. Often we will take a particular artists work as inspiration for a class, and there are demos, and plenty of constructive feedback.
January’s classes will be focussed on landscape, and we’ll be working first in charcoal and graphite, moving onto ink drawing and watercolour.
Hope to see you there!
